This is really lovely. You captured Hotch's emotions so well here, as well as the changed dynamic in the team. I was especially moved at the bit about how was Hotch to explain to Jack that Emily could come back and Haley couldn't. That's a heartbreaker.

Thank you! Yeah, the idea of Jack waiting for Mommy to come back because Emily did is kind of heartbreaking. I don't know if they'll cover that in the series (probably not, since we don't know if Hotch even told Jack about Emily's "death", but if there was a H/R established relationship when all this went down then, yeah, Jack would have to find out). So glad you liked it.

Sad as it is, I love how you have written Aaron's thoughts through the ordeal of the team losing Emily. Just sucks that Prentiss got written off and stupid Seaver had to be there til end of S6 :/

With all my ramblings aside, lovely fic you made.

Thank you. I'm really glad you liked it. I think that Hotch would have certain regrets about his silence.

I certainly feel bad for Rachel Nichols, because she seems like a nice person who was thrust into a difficult situation over which she had no control. But I'm certainly super excited for AJ and PB's return.

Glad you liked the fic!

Yeah, Rachel Nichols I suppose is a nice person. Then again her character definitely ruined my S6 experience for me. Plus it killed my Hotch/Reid fangirly-ness for the whole season because the writers kept thrusting her at Reid's direction, trying to make them look like a pair. So I'm not all that sad to see Seaver go and for the producers to suddenly ax Rachel out of the cast (one less TV eyesore to worry about TBH). Just glad that CBS decided to listen to the fans and brought AJ and PB back in...and not to go through with canning TG which will be an erroneous judgment call for the sake of ratings and plot developments.

Damn I ranted! :P

Oh, man! That was heartbreaking! Everyone seems so focused on how the Team is dealing with the "death" of Emily, but, you are on of two writers who took the time to show what this is doing to Hotch. A man who holds truth, trust and honesty in such high regard, it has to be devastating to him to have to betray his family. And, his thoughts about having to explain to Jack, why Emily got to come back, but, his mom can't....guh! Another beautiful addition to a wonderful Verse! Thank you! (And, now, off to watch my newly acquired s6 dvds!)

Thank you! I think that Hotch, even if he thinks what he's doing is right, would have a difficult time betraying the team. And the thought of Jack waiting for Mommy to return would just be heartbreaking because how could Hotch explain the difference.

Enjoy your DVDs. (Hmmm... note to self: order them now!)

Very well done!

I hadn't expected to see another story in this 'verse and was elated to find this on Bowie28's bookmarks this morning. So believable and in character. I really like this. Thank you!

Thank you! I actually have lots of story plots in this 'verse, but I'm not kidding when I say that this is the first time I finished a fic since December (damn you, RL). But I'm feeling inspired to write again, especially as I get more and more excited about the new season. So... more fics in this 'verse might be on the horizon... at some point... maybe... :)

Glad you liked this.
