There is more sensibility in your stories than in Conan Doyle's. It's one of the reasons why I like them.

Excuse me for sending my messages by little bits. I'm not used to send commentaries to a live journal, and I'm very akward with computers. I didn't even know, some weeks ago, what where "slash stories"; I discovered it (and you) by chance. Holme's explanation of his three years long silence never satisfied me, neither in "the empty house" nor in"the secret of Sherlock Holmes"; yours is interesting, and gives a sensitive soul to Sherlock. Who can believe in an icy Sherlock, when he or she has seen Jeremy Brett performing the part? Holmes and Watson in love with each other, why not? Tenderness leads easily to sensuality, and everybody (or nearly everybody) is more or less bisexual. Feelings and events decide.

God, that one's great. But I still can't belive myself, that I discovered this parring just about two hours ago - two hours ago I was thinking Holmes is perfectly asexual... And now it's the first fanfictjon whit this parring I've ever read and it's brilliant.

Oh boy, are you in for a real treat. There are some brilliant writers in this fandom. Seriously, check out anything by katieforsythe or janeturenne... they put my stuff to shame. Also check out the community of cox_and_co, which is a Holmes slash community. And Lyrastar/watergal provides a listing of Holmes/Watson links:

http://liquidfic.net/Holmes_Watson.html

It hasn't been updated in a few months, but there are a lot of good authors and archives listed there and it's a great place to start.

Welcome to the fandom! It has some great people. Go forth and enjoy the fics... most of them are utterly marvellous!

I didn't find this at all cliched, btw -- I don't know if that's because I'm a newbie to H/W fic or not, but I suspect that even it you were guilty of covering well covered ground, the fact that you write it so well means that readers never get bored with your version.

Thank you so very, very much for all your kind words. This was my first H/W fic and I'm really pleased it was so well received. I think every H/W writer has two themes that they will tackle at some point -- the Return and Charles Augustus Milverton (it's almost like a rite of passage). That said, some of my favorite fics in this fandom are about the Return and Charles Augustus Milverton. I love reading the different versions of these themes -- there are so many interpretations. I'm really thrilled you liked this one.

Speaking of Milverton, I think your story deals with that theme? Yay! I haven't had a chance to read it yet, but I definitely will this week.
