So I'm watching "Lost City" because I needed some seriously oldschool!Elizabeth Weir for inspiration, but it turns out that I can never watch these two episodes without getting completely lost in Sam and Jack. Is that lame? ( spoilerz!!!1!1! still? )

ONCE AGAIN they suck at this whole communication-talking thing
Oh god, I know. That ep is just S/J ship trhough and through. Old mistakes and what have you.

Oh, Kinsey's a Republican. Because so's teh Prez. Which I'm fairly certain we're told about at some point. I think. (It's entirely possible I'm projecting TWW issues onto yet anotehr fandom, though).

WHY AM I NOT SURPRISED.

(ME TOO!! I actually think it would be sort of awesome to write a TWW-esque Stargate fic, about people working in the White House during Anubis' attack. I mean, um. Yeah.)

Remember that the neocons are all civilians. So Kinsey's definitely a Republican. He probably wants to hand over control of the Stargate to TEH FREE MARKET OMG.

Reason #48769036 that Stargate is science-fiction and not, in fact, real: all of these things are considered bad by the military personnel on-screen.
