My darling concubines I am in a very good mood today, although some very dark and depressing events, which have happened with friends and relatives. I finished Chapter 14: Back to Basics aka Kill from behind the back, which means that I have one more chapter to finish "Forged in Blood" in its roughest draft ever. Chapter 15 is the hardest of the ( Read more... )

wow, my head is spinning.. you are clearly way more organized and diligent than I am. My goal is just to finish the novel and edit it enough to send out by the end of the year. I am insanely jealous of your ambition!

Yes, I just had to, because the novellas are something I should have done last year, although the poetry thing has been lurking since April. I need deadlines otherwise nothing will help me finish. I can assure you that this is the impossible case scenario. I am sure everything will come with a three to four months delays. ;) And your ambition is just as good!! Stop talking Nonesense.

1) I love the titles of your novellas. Beautiful!
2) 20 beta readers is a LOT. I'd honestly suggest you give it to less people. You'll have so many different opinions, it'll just confuse you. If all those people want to read it for 'fun' then that's cool. But I would only ask for feedback from an absolute maximum on 5 or 6.
3) You'll be fine with agent shopping - it's all right here online, Harry. You won't need to rely on friends for this information. Researching agents is a lot of work, but you learn so much that way!

1) Thank you! I have a knack for think out titles. I just love it! So it's great flattery.
2) I have to distinguish, because by definition beta readers are people, who read book before the agent hunting or publishing. For critique I think I will rely on exactly that many people you know. I will listen very carefully at what they have to say, while theothers are just to get a general vibe like good or bad. It's my target audience, adults that is and I need a vague statistic.
3) Thank you for that tid bit! I hear that you need memberships and subscriptions to Writer's Market and what not, where are listed who is real and who is not and I am not that wealthy to get those ubscriptions. I have agents in mind, okay one, Miriam. Every author she has has turned into something big.

Oh, wow! I can see why you would be in a good mood!!

That's about as good as it can go for writing!

And I like the chapter title - it made me Lol- but maybe worded a bit differently?

Thank you and this is my perfect writing plan. In Harry world this will be accomplished with ease. In real world the answer is "You kidding me. 72 hours a day won't be enough to folllow that schedule." Just cross your fingers for good luck and I won't name my chapters in the final version, I just do it for fun!
