This was also taken from a train, around 3 p.m, warm and sunny. And if some of you are wondering what the heck is it all about - me and my son had a country-crossing trip (from Eilat to Haifa) today, taking pictures as we go :)

Wow, that grass looks seriously dry. I thought it was us in the Southern Hemisphere that were supposed to be suffering from drought, not the Northern!

it's just normal winter die-off, i think. it'll green up again when it's above freezing for a couple days.

Wasn't quite as cold in Nevada, but I understand your effort to some extent! I didn't catch the two stars in my pictures, but I thought their position made the whole thing look even more awesome

They're not (both) stars. According to my roommate, the bright one toward the bottom is Saturn, and the other one is a nebula.
