Super Fun Post of TV Geeks....chatchienFebruary 26 2014, 16:34:40 UTC
I started watching Season 5 of Justified this season, but I'm just going to wait until it has been aired and marathon it. I am able to keep up with things better when I do that.
I am not watching any of these other shows, maybe I'll sample a few after this post.
What I am watching is Season 3 of Silk, a BBC drama about over-achieving lawyers who are Queen's Counsels. The Lawyers get to wear silk or put silk in their horrid wigs or they get silk ribbons on their briefs, I am still not too clear about that. Maxine Peake is very good in this, but the first episode was not very compelling. I'll see how this unfolds.
My other Brit drama Is Line of Duty and the second season is as good as the first. There is a woman Detective Inspector (again---Constables? Sergeants? Whatevers? I don't follow that part of it too well) who is the most intelligent and cleverest Woman character currently being portrayed on TV. Is she bad? Is she good? Who knows? Just don't mess with her, she will squash you everytime. I don't miss Lennie James, who starred

I've decided to do that with "Justified" too. I could never remember what night it came on and I think this season just works better back to back to back instead of having to wait a week in between.
Do you watch Silk and Line of Duty on Netflix? I've not heard of them. And I have to at least watch "Line of Duty". I checked IMDB and Craig Parkinson is/was in six episodes. I love him.
I don't miss Lennie James, who starred in the first series at all. And that is saying something.
I wonder if he left LoD to go to "Low Winter Sun". Big mistake if he did.
As for SPN, I don't see how that show is still alive after it has been starved by bariatric surgery in Season 6. Fie on Fatty Arbuckles!I am convinced he stays on the show for the free grub. He must. He stacks up during the day and takes a doggy bag home but he doesn't give it to his dog, he stuffs it in

Supernatural is one of those shows I just could never get into, despite having so many friends buzzing about it. And as much as I enjoy Arrow, the media love is way out of proportion. As you say, how soon they forget - Smallville really does have it beat in every way.
I wanted to like Super Fun Night, but it was just so darned uneven. Very uncomfortable in its own skin.

I just can't get over that they're throwing every DCU character into the show when, to me, they've really not cracked telling us who Oliver is. Love him or hate him, at least SV's Oliver was defined early on. We could get a sense of Oliver the person. On "Arrow" it's all about "Arrow" and not the ins and outs of who Oliver is personality wise.

It was my big disappointment this season. I watched it until the end but I thought only one episode was really good and the others were just flailing. If they get another season, which it very possibly won't, I hope it finds its footing.
