On Wednesday night the CW closed out the Paley Center for Media’s Fall Preview screenings with “Nikita” and “Hellcats”. All along they advertised that they would premiere a returning show as well, but that didn’t happen. Had I known they weren’t screening the returning show, I would’ve asked the VP of the Paley Center (who did the introductions

It's not my cuppa either, and I can't say I'll stop watching it, but I may only tune in for a few minutes and then switch it. Although the more I hear about Gale's character, the more intrigued I am by the show /Gale bias.
I haven't seen the US version of QAF, but I loved the UK version
I didn't think the US could do it as well as the UK version. I actually refused to watch QAF the first few weeks it was on in protest. The UK one was fabled. I'm from San Francisco and it played SF's Outfest and it was the talk of the town and I was intrigued. When I moved to LA this little public access channel showed the UK version and I was all over it. Aiden, Charlie Hunnam! Oh my word, there is an Charlie/Stuart scene that I watch all the time. HOT.
But and I don't think this is my bias, US is on the same level. I didn't go in thinking it would be, but it was to me.
And they kept the rimming scene so...score!

No it's a Photobucket are prudes thing. I had shirtless pictures of Justin Hartley up and it was taken down for violation. It's too risque. I use Imageshack for things I think won't float with Photobucket. They even took down a pic I uploaded with Zod with the caption "Fuck Superman" on it.

Back when I could just blame the camera and not just my poor skills!

Most definitely. Last night just wasn't my night in the technical realm because I called myself recording the audio but it's not there, but I stiil wrote notes in case everything wasn't clear on the audio.
How are you doing?

Just doing my fannish job, Ma'am!
Honestly, I think since the wreck he appreciates his work as well as his fans.
I think that's it too. He's just so much at ease and joyful. While that's always been in him, I think in crowd situations he tensed up, he was just so relaxed and chill last night. Really great to see. I just kept thinking about when I went to the 2001(?) Paley Fest for QAF and he seemed like like a skittish colt, this is a HUGE difference.

He got all screwed up by the end of the Zap2it interview, but he did really well.

I didn't know that. That explains alot! He did really well. It's a marked improvement. I think there was a season 1 interview for ET where my friend and I would count the "ums".

I hate those autograph hounds. A bunch of the Vancouver ones are on Twitter, and they're all awful. Their entitlement issues are off the chart, and they judge all celebrities solely on whether or not they willingly give them what they want. I think it's a pathetic way to make a living (yes, I judge), and I find their extreme rudeness astounding. [/rant]
I was wondering, is Kevin Murphy super tall? I saw one pic where it looked like he was several inches taller than Gale, and isn't he around 6'2"?
ETA: I linked to this on my journal, that's okay, right? :)

Totally :)
must be more than just a recurring character.
I think so from what Kevin says and Gale. Kevin was even talking about getting Julian connected to the other characters because that's what he loves about bringing the two lives of Marti together.
I've been watching my QAF DVDs all week, remembering all over again how amazing he is.
The one thing I can't do is watch old QAF. It's just too tender for me that it's over. Still, after all this time. It was just a spectacular moment in fannish experience for me.

I'm with you. They're trashy, every stereotype of grubby lizard people. They stand there with REAMS of pictures for signing and have no concern for others who are waiting.

He's tall. Gale is 6'1 (although he doesn't seem that tall) and I would think Kevin is 6'3 or 6'4. I realized how bad I am at gauging height when I found out my coworker who sits next to me is 6'5--he doesn't look like it to me but he is. So Kevin is definitely about 6'3. I was oddly attracted to him. There's something earthy about him. Solid citizen type, not a Hollywood schmoozer.

i remember when i used to think Prince was a tall guy, then i found out he's only 5'2"; or when i thought joel mchale was short but he was really ~6'4".
