What's behind door number 3???

Jun 09, 2006 14:07

So everytime I go to check out a place I end up posting about  it.  Liz's LJ has turned into "Moving for Dummies."

Went to Silver Spring.  Took me over an hour on public transport (and I'm only like 3 metro stops from it).  The walking was far and in a baddish-section of Maryland.  Not bad-bad, but not someplace I want to walk late at night.

Crazy people, that's who! That house deal sounds nice. Hope it works out for you Liz! *crosses fingers, toes, arms, legs, eyes, etc.!*

Of course, Quaggy gets it! :-)

Let's hear it for door #3! Seriously, I will keep my fingers and my toes crossed for this one! It sounds like the best fit yet!

So, the original Capitol Hill chick never got back to you?

She answered me back in a really awkward fashion yesterday.

Here allow me to copy and paste because it is easily the most odd email:

LIZ-
Thank you for your interest in the apartment. I have chosen a roommate, Maggie Stuckey (I should change the name, but it's just such a great name), to move in. If something should change, I will be sure to let you know.

So yes, this way I get to look and have a "bigger budget" to find a house we can all like and with I think two people new to the area, so that's fun.

Her loss. She doesn't know what she's missing by having you as a roommate.

I agree with Gatsby... Though from her stupid e-mail, you probably dodged a bullet. Seriously... she gave the new rommates name out? What kind of twit is she?!!

Sounds like the new option is a promising option. And I wouldn't take it as courtesy offer. She probably wouldn't have offered it if she didn't mean it. And again, anyone would be lucky to have Liz in their house. ::Fingers Crossed::

I'm a good cook, and I always buy wine.

Oh and I'm not obnoxious. At least I don't think I am.

That alone should makes you a total catch. I would pick you. Of course, I'm one of those "older" folks you mentioned, and I live halfway across the country and in a condo.

It's not even so much "age" as it is they make me feel like I'm 12 and I don't like that. And I'd be moving into their house so it's very like they'd be mom-ish telling me what to do.

The boy is nine years older than me and never made me feel that way. Dee and I decided I'm not agist.

Condo? Do you have an extra room?

Don't know if this is the place to post...but I saw this and remembered you! Isn't that funny how things get into your head... Didn't you say you like Denis Leary?

Anyway, this is probablly not geographically feasible for you, but thought you could dream about it anyway.

Go to CharityWorks.com
Become an intern at Apostle, Dennis Leary's Production Company and experience firsthand the hard work behind hits such as ABC's "The Job", "Contest Searchlight", Comedy Central's "Merry F#%$in' Christmas, and lets not forget FX's "Rescue Me."

The lucky winner of this unique experience will participate in development and production in the course of the semester-long internship.
Bidding is at $1600 right now.

There's also a bunch of other Denis Leary stuff up there.

Hang in there. The job/apartment/school thing will all come together. It always does.

AWESOME!

I'm still convinced he'll be visiting his family and I'll run into him at Pub 99 (he's from my home "town"/area).
