What's behind door number 3???

So everytime I go to check out a place I end up posting about  it.  Liz's LJ has turned into "Moving for Dummies."

Went to Silver Spring.  Took me over an hour on public transport (and I'm only like 3 metro stops from it).  The walking was far and in a baddish-section of Maryland.  Not bad-bad, but not someplace I want to walk late at night.

The girls living in the house were nice, but all older-ish.  I have no problem with that (ages from 24-6ish), but I'm not at that point in my life and they all seemed to want a quiet roommate who'd be at work and in their spare time read in their room.  In fact, I seemed the most like the girl who was moving out and I liked her the best.  Suffice to say, it doesn't seem like an option I wish to persue.

So Liz has a new option.  A new girl at work was talking to me about how she and two other people are looking to move to a house on the hill (close to where I work now) and if I wanted I could get in on the action.  But I wasn't sure if it was a courtesy thing,  or how serious she was about it.   So I emailed her to ask her such, but now I feel like that's a little weird to be like "How serious were you yesterday..."

Basically I like this option the best because then I'm not moving into an already lived-in house, instead it'll be a group effort and people around my age (ie, haven't graduated yet but oh so close).  And it's in the locale I want.  The ghetto cheap side of the hill, that really isn't that ghetto, but the yuppie-yuppies think it is so therefore it's still cheap there.  Quaggy gets it.

Oh, Liz's LJ, for all her random rambling needs...
