AMC--Chapter Twenty-Six

Dec 02, 2005 14:19

I am rating this chapter for adults only for reasons of discussing topics about sexuality. There is no graphic sex--it is merely Macalaurë musing about love and marriage and children and his thoughts on all of these things--but I want to play it safe. If you're not sure if you want to read this chapter, please don't hesitate to contact me, as ( Read more... )

I wonder if there is a way to achieve the bliss of marriage without conceiving a child. According to Atar, there is not.

I'm not so sure I would take Fëanor's word on this one. He is after all looking forward to the next generation of of elflings to convert teach.

This chapter has done it. Macalaurë is my *new* most favorite of the Finwë clan. I love your portrayal of him. He's the kind of elf you want to bring home to meet your parents. ; )

Lol! True! I think he's pretty sure that he'll get his wish to quite a great extent from his horny handsome eldest; Macalaure's just a bonus!

Thank you! Macalaure began as the hardest character for me to write when this story started, but by its ending, he was the easiest--and my favorite. I really looked forward to the chapters from his PoV. Oddly, I don't think I've written his PoV since. I think that I shall have to remedy this!

Thank you! As always! I love your comments. :)

I guess I should not be surprised by Feany acting like that anymore, but you still manage to surprise me with an emotional and so very alive character.

Friday, the story goes into his PoV. *gnaws nails nervously* He is without a doubt the hardest character I have ever tried to write. I want to set him aside as being different and having both good and bad qualities...he's very complicated and writing him is like walking a tightrope, not wanting to drift into AU but also not wanting him to be unsympathetic.

Yes, I think he's scared about Carnistir too, but good luck trying to get him to admit it! I didn't want Feanaro to be a very psychically active character (I dislike using that word but can't think of a better way to explain it at the moment) which makes his son's ease with osanwe and intuition all the more mysterious to him.

Still, I think he will grow to rather enjoy the mechanics of it... :))

Lol, yes I think he will! And I will ( ... )

I love Fëanor’s conversation with Macalaurë about Melkor and Macalaurë’s reflections on him. I love how you have shown the conflicting emotions within Fëanor - so quick to blame someone for something that angers or scares him - yet so quick to change to tenderness when he reconsiders.

“--- I was quite disgusted --- of putting my private parts inside of a girl and then peeing inside of her”. ROFLMAO! That’s exactly what I thought when I first heard about sex from a girlfriend! I was so sure she was lying! (I think we were only ten.)

“---mostly crying, screaming and shrieking---“ LOL! As it was so aptly put in the film “Maybe Baby” - “the shrieking, shitting and vomiting schedule (of a baby)!” LOL!

---her hand shoved down the front of his trousers. I’d been drawn by the thrashing and moaning, incorrectly assuming that Nelyo had injured himself and was crying out in pain. LOL! That is hilarious!!

I even awakened sometimes with an erection, but it had all the feeling of a broomstick! LOL! (And the size, too?) (Snerk - ( ... )

Feans is an impetuous guy. He acts before thinking things through fully. His first thought: It must be Macalaure's fault! So of course, he acts on that and gets regretful when it becomes painfully obvious that Macalaure is *not* to blame. It is no wonder that poor Macalaure struggles in his relationship with his father.

That’s exactly what I thought when I first heard about sex from a girlfriend!

Lol! I was lucky to have learned about sex early from studying entomology, and it became a necessity for my mom to explain "mating" to me. But I've heard all sorts of notions from people about what their first ideas of sex were. I remember an older cousin telling my other cousin and me about "head" when I was like ten...I was suitably horrified!

Who knew I'd grow into such a perv?Interestingly, and this is a total tangent, I remember reading graphic ( ... )

LOL! Macalaurë desn't wantonly wave his around like Nelyo does! ROFL! I just thought of a logo you can use for your business! Guess! It has the same shape as a sausage, hot dog, carrot, cucumber, baguette, zucchini, hot pepper, etc., etc. Oh no, I'm not pervy!

Caranthir the Carrot, eh? One of those ruddy-hued foods!

You know, I still giggle over the notion of "long foods"...you really did me in with that!

Oh no, I'm not pervy!

Me neither! Let's keep telling them that, and maybe they'll believe it! :^P

I was quite disgusted by the idea of putting my private parts inside of a girl and then peeing inside of her.

OMG. Forget an "adult" warning on this - you should have put a beverage warning!!! I don't know why I found that so funny, but I was sitting here laughing so hard I almost started crying. (Blaming the pregnancy hormones.)

I love the depth you give to each character and how you have them releate incidents in the past that further fleshes them out.

Yay! Another post tomorrow!
YAY!

Sowwy! Next time Macalaure waxes sentimental about his outmoded ideas of procreation, I will put a beverage warning, just for you! :)

Thank you! I love writing backstory...can you tell? :^P

YAY!

More Macalaure tomorrow. But then guess who takes the helm on Friday?

Feanor.... *is VERY VERY scared!*

I'm just seeing you already posted the next chapter, but I still want to give a quick (alas, non-clever again!) comment on this one.

Macalaure's musings about sexuality amused me greatly. Someone else already said he was "so adolescent" and I can only second that. I still doubt however, that he really would like to exchange his "dangling parts" (LOL!) for a pretty bout of monthly PMS. But then, I'm not so sure if elf-women have PMS at all. *has a silly vision of Galadriel whining "oww, these cramps!"*

It's really funny to see matters from a male point of view actually, since I can remember thinking quite often that I might have had it easier indeed had I been born a boy... but now I'm rambling. ;-)

And Maitimo's favourite part is his penis? *leaves out any comment she was about to make for a stupid fit of giggles*

That was soo nice!

Lol! I've always wondered about that. Since Elven women can have babies the whole of their interminable lives, I can't imagine them getting periods forever. Ugh...that'd be enough to make me choose Miriel's fate! *resists urge to write stupidfic along those lines* But if Macalaure could get pregnant, I bet one contraction would make him want his dangly bits back! After all, he has the fun role in creating children!

You're so right in that. Some time ago I had a discussion with my sister who's 18-year-old friend just had a child and I was like "Well, they're in there pretty quickly, and then the woman has the troubles" (I think I might have been subconciously thinking about your story and Feanor's remark about Maitimo's birth, hehe). And I actually don't think you're weird at all when you say that it still might be easier to be male. I'm not quite sure if I want children one day (people who know me would certainly tell you that I'm not the maternal type, hehe) and so I might as well spare myself the troubles of being female (by the way, I'd read that stupidfic... *laughs*).

Rambly? I like that, hehe.

I mean, it amused me, but I have a decidedly strange and pervy sense of humor.Oh, don't fear, me too. I even laugh at jokes that others simply consider bad taste ( ... )

I'm very maternal/overprotective of my friends, but as far as small children go, I generally run and hide behind furniture! I babysat a friends 18-month-old once...erm, not again.

And tempt me not into writing evol stories! *resists plotbunny* I've far too many WiPs already! :^D

Hey, you took *my* hiding place! I laugh at those jokes too! :^D
