Autumn is still descending in its multi-hued glory to Northern Vermont. Yesterday was a grumpy, gray, rather miserable day: 55F/13C, damp, with those drifting, misty showers that seem to ooze out of the air itself. Yes! The outdoor store in Newport had an irresistible end-of-season sale: basically both our kayaks for just a little over the cost of one during the regular season. We both have Oldtowns, the same brand that we took out on the Clyde when you guys visited. Bobby's is a fishing kayak and a little bigger than mine. After years with the inflatable, it's like paddling on silk.

(I kind of hid that LJ cut a little ... :)
