Oh dear, I hope you will be all right, all of you, and that you won't lose any trees either. That hurricane is making international headlines now. But at least everyone seems to be taking precautionary measures early on this time. Too bad about your 30-hour holiday--on the other hand, it looks as if it will stay in your memory as the one that was shaping up to be perfect!
It's been a long time since the US had to be in full hurricane alert, and I'm actually happy that they had the common sense to call for a full evacuation, even though your holiday got cut short. I hope that all you experience is a wet memory without any damage accompanying it.
How surreal and scary! I sincerely hope that not only will you and your family be okay, but that Ocean City will not be damaged too badly by the time the storm blows over. By the time it hits us it should be only some rain and grey skies. I'll be thinking about you all this weekend. Please keep us posted on how you're doing! :(
