As is common (I have found) in groups that do not exist entirely or mostly online but do desire an online presence, a person with even basic design skills (like me) becomes a valuable commodity. Of course, I think all tools require at least a notion of what's going on. The easiest, most user-friendly tool isn't going to help somebody who doesn't know what a header is.

But yeah, it's a lot of hand coding at this point, no fancy tools for me.
Heirs of Elendil and if you can spot the glaringly obvious (to me) idiosyncracy on the front page, then you know your Tolkien! I keep waiting for someone else to say something, but no one has.
Oh, and I use this site a lot, not sure it's the best for an absolute newbie, but very basic familiarity is enough. HTML, CSS, and all sorts of good things.

I give up on the idiosyncrasy. I have been staring at the page for five minutes; even looked up the heraldry in case there was a star missing or a color wrong or something.

I have an idea that I'll make some nice word art out of the Tengwar for Elendil, but I don't seem to be able to get in gear to do that.
