As most of you know, I am involved with the SCA. As is common (I have found) in groups that do not exist entirely or mostly online but do desire an online presence, a person with even basic design skills (like me) becomes a valuable commodity. As such, I offer my help where I can with web-based SCA projects.
The other day, I got asked a bafflingly simple question, but I really don't know the answer to it, and it's one of those questions where experience with the subject involved really counts for something. So I thought I'd ask you all:
I'm looking for a "gateway" tool - I've inherited [a website], and it needs an overhaul, but I don't know html yet. Do you have any preferences for tools that are relatively easy to learn and that will build pages I can upload?
So ... do you all have any recommendations? :^D
I hand-code all of my pages. So while I know the existence of programs like Front Page and Dreamweaver, and I could Google for free versions of similar programs, that doesn't do much to tell me which is easiest to use for someone just getting started in web design. Any thoughts or advice would be most welcome, with many thanks in advance! :)
