There's a bookshop in Palo Alto, CA that's a lot like that one - packed to the ceiling with stacks upon stacks of books, in every enclave. Feldman's Books, I think. Then there's Bell's Books, which is almost as chaotic, and even bigger. It's really fun.

They had a fire a few years back, but it couldn't take hold because of the books being so tightly packed...

There's also a parrot. He's called Archie. You sing to him and he sings along. But It seems he wasn't in residence when Jazzy D was visiting...

It's a shop you can easily get lost in and not be bothered about it. Alas, I did not hear Archie the parrot in attendance.
