Other areas of music i have been in to , as defined by any genre name, are those laminal pieces of music that come under the umbrella of environmental, soundscapes or field recordings which also include subtle electronic tweaks of natural sounds. It is not new age music which is all bland. It is electroacoustic music and is slightly more edgy than that bland soup.

The first two seem like good 'background noise' for falling asleep (my Hubby uses an 'ocean waves on a beach' recording when he has difficulty sleeping- it soothes and the repetitive nature of it allows you to relax.)
