Yeah , i know. That pun of this month  is well known but i could not resist it.  It has been a day of reading and then catching up with TV programmes  in particular, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D , which has a gripping dark edge to it, and i was shouting at the screen for Sky not to let that turncoat into the secret Canadian basement. And here I was thinking that the anachronists were just people who were just a little bit different. It seems like they use this to get away with a few things that they otherwise might not!

Oh so true and this 18th century society , all men, reveled in the use of bawdy tunes and they were all respectable gents such as lawyers, doctors, physicians and politicians even. Well the latter profession never has been much of a respectable bunch lol.

There is a series now on the Georgian period with historian Lucy Worsley on BBC4 which is fascinating
