Foul Bachelor Frog; Alcove B3, Saturday Afternoon.

Jul 30, 2011 08:51

The move into the cabins had put Alexander into quite a brooding mood, one he couldn't quite shake by the time Saturday rolled around, either. It had nothing to do with the cabins themselves; the conditions of the cabins were far superior to what he'd been used to, and even the cold weather didn't bother him much. While William was quite capable- and willing- to listen to Alexander's brooding musings, being a puppy while doing so made it somewhat more difficult when it came to actually replying. And so the letter- and Alexander's reaction to it- got an inqusitive "Rrr?" and a headtilting puppy. It was the best he could do, under the circumstances.

Though he was fully capable of vocalization himself, Alexander's first response was a very distracted, "Hmmm?" as he looked up and blinked at William, coming back to the world of Fandom. He realized how engrossed he'd been and blushed, just a little. "Oh. A letter from my sister."

He bit his lip slightly, wondering how to elaborate. "I...almost don't want to believe what it is that she says, but she informs me that, perhaps...someone in our court might actually know where the Land of the Green Isles may be...and that he's known all this time and has put up the facade that he'd never heard of such a place! That was something of a quandry, wasn't it? William was apparently torn as well, offering a slight growl followed by an excited yip. He couldn't help it, Alexander's quest had intrigued him ever since he'd learned about it, and so he found himself quite invested in the potential for success.

The yip managed to get a smile out of Alexander; it had become easier to understand animals even without a special spell to do so, but this was exceptionally true of animals who were usually his roommate. "You're right," he said. "I suppose I am, overall, quite pleased by the information. I shall have to plan a trip home if I can, and get to the bottom of this mystery myself."
