Saturday morning, and with the weather definitely taking a turn toward the cold, Alexander was staying indoors with a studious and imaginative task. Elphaba stopped by Alexander's door with a small, cloth covered plate in one hand. She knocked on said door and smiled. "I hope I'm not interrupting?"

Glancing up from a chart of projections regarding the stars, Alexander smiled once his mind switched from maps to the present. He pushed back his chair, turning toward the door. "Not at all, Elphaba," he said. "In fact, a break might be good for my poor eyes. How are you?"

"I'm rather well, actually," Elphaba said. "I'm learning some more about the traditions of this world. Which I was thinking of sharing with you, actually."

She took the cloth off the plate to reveal a few of the vegan gingerbread-people she'd made last night.

And so it came to pass that there would be a second time in Alexander's stay here at Fandom High School where the heavens needed to be thanked that, by the time he came to Daventry, the witch in the woods had long been defeated.

You know, the green one who turned people into gingerbread and ate them.

"Traditions?" Alexander asked, getting up from his chair. "Smells like gingerbread. Did you bake?"
