At last Octobers Whitby (Yes, I really am that slow) I was having a camera-lite holiday. There was only one band that I took phoographs of, but I wasn't going to miss shooting the Autumn Canibals. They are a solo project from Jeff (The Last Dance.)

After my failure to engage with the photography the previous day, I was a little nervous about taking the camera down on the Saturday. I had struggled with the lights on Friday, and failed to really engage with the bands. I did think about leaving the camera in the flat and just going down to watch the bands and socialise. For some reason on the first night of the October Whitby I didn't really get into the zone for taking photographs. I got very involved in conversations rather than going to the front for all of the bands. I had a great night out, just not a particularly photographic one.

I've just installed the new beta of LightRoom 3. My current RAW converter of choice is DPP, which I've mostly got the nack of now. The sliders make sense to me, and there are not too many of them. LR3 is something of a different kettle of fish. I've put the photos taken at Whitby on there, and I'm going to use those as a test set ( Read more... )

The late bank holiday weekend in August normally is Infest, and that usually makes me panic and sort out my Whitby pics from April... Even though there was no Infest (Boo!) I thought I'd better do the Whitby pics regardless.
