Today I've been doing a bit of photo processing. Then I bumped into this:

I've just installed the new beta of LightRoom 3. My current RAW converter of choice is DPP, which I've mostly got the nack of now. The sliders make sense to me, and there are not too many of them. LR3 is something of a different kettle of fish. I've put the photos taken at Whitby on there, and I'm going to use those as a test set ( Read more... )

A couple of weeks ago I finally got my arse in gear, and got myself a new computer. I've just been working from a mix of my work laptop, and my home (now running LINUX) laptop, which has curtailed what I was able to do with photos to some extent. ( Only click if you care about computers )

For the past couple of weeks keris has been off having lots of adventures in America. The plan was that I got up to all sorts of mischief and fun. Unfortunately work put pay to quite a lot of that, and I've been doing several very long days to get a few problems sorted. My new flashgun arrived yesterday, which meant that I got home and pulled out all the bits and pieces I’ve got that are flash related. keris had to put up with lots and lots of pictures being taken whilst she sat around reading. Last Wednesday I went over to Cooke Optics for a visit around their factory. They supply lenses to the movie industry, and are one of the, if not the, high end supplier. I am a rather happy Dave. First up there are the shots from my last post that made it in to this issue of Unscene, which I am rather pleased about. Much more exciting however, is that a shot I did with tinypinkbubble some time ago is going to end up on the cover of issue 3!
