Yeah, you make it sound so simple, but you forget to mention the hour spent running around the house with towels, ducking & scampering, debating how to get it flying again when it was in a spot we couldn't get at, looking up what to do online, finding out animal control wasn't open for another three hours, almost catching it and freaking out when it made super creepy vampire noises, almost cathing it and having it jump into flight while you're a foot away, trying to get the cats out of the way so they don't get bitten & out of the open second story windowsill so they don't fall to their untimely deaths. (deep breath) I so never want to do that again.

I've found that a butterfly net worked surprisingly well.

It wasn't in my house and I don't fear bats, so I didn't have to cope with being freaked out. That probably made it easier.

You guys should totally go watch Fern Gully now.

Well I just wanted to be as cool as my mom was, in college when I came back to visit my 'rents there was a bat in the computer room, and she caught it with a towel no worries.

Yeah, we were real close to having one of us run and get a butterfly net.

You should burn your house down and collect the insurance.

Only sure way to make sure you've gotten all the bats.

This is what I was going to post : tennis racket (but the bat doesn't come out of it as well, as I understand it)...

My father once used a leather glove and just grabbed the bat.
