Tomorrow (sunday) morning/afternoon, until it gets too hot, Katie and I will be clearing out our attic of the old wallboard (I think you can see pictures of it in her journal/flickr acct). Well we picked a contractor to provide us an estimate for remodeling our attic. He plans on getting a ballpark estimate to us sometime next week. It's going to be pricey. They'll be running new pipes, redoing the walls, ceiling, windows, floors, adding heat, the whole works. My suspicion is we won't be able to afford it outright. So we may ( Read more... )

Our duplex will be available for rent once again on April First. Its interesting to see how things have changed between this time and

So there's now five bikes in our Garage. As I went to take my car out this morning, I moved one of the new cruisers I picked up so it was no longer behind my car. I figure Katie had moved it. So for the last couple of years we've been saving money to fix up our attic, we're at the point where that seems feasible now.  We actually are going to be fixing a bit more than the attic (if we can afford it all).

Here are some of the things we're looking at:

• Replace a support beam in our basement
• insulation

I made a Costco run yesterday. Although I didn't purchase anything too perishable, we do have an excess of food. So if you are interested in dining with Katie or I this weekend or coming week just give me a call 612 670 0621. I think I'll do this every time I go to Costco since I enjoy feeding my friends and family versus watching food go bad.

Today:
Worked out.
Replaced the shut-off valve to the dishwasher with one that won't leak
Went to Rainbow to buy some laundry detergent
Turned power on to dishwasher/garbage disposer.

Well if this load comes out clean and the next 14 loads after that, then I owe voltronalpha $75 plus a dollar for him betting that the grounding screw would be behind the fake ( Read more... )
