For the record: according to the time stamp on my computer, you signed off at 12:47, i got back at the computer at 12:50.

But seriously...you are stretching yourself too thin. Its all wonderful and good to have a toe in each doorway, but it literally saps your life. and you cannot feel fulfilled by anything if you are just putting in enough to get by and have time for anything else. Granted, its a bit tougher to feel fulfilled by anything in high school...but that's me being old and jaded.

Seriously [to use that word twice in the same comment], i feel really bad about not getting to talk to you. Its really unfortunate. I don't have anywhere else to go with this comment, so I'll end it now.

I miss you! And I'm sad that you won't get to come to Yale, but I totally understand... However, you are SO coming to visit me over February break. Or some weekend or something. Also, I'm going to be home in less than 2 weeks! Yay!

I had a conversation with gwen last night, where we ended up talking about young people dying. We agreed that someone dying at 13 or younger is just awful because they didn't even come close to getting the chance to live, but we differed on why it was sad when an 18 year old died. I said it was the same reason it was sad when a 13 year old died.

but gwen said that it was sad because in high school you (well people like us at least) put in so much effort and feel absolutely no satisfaction from it, just so that it will pay off in college and after. When you're 13 you're still living to have fun. In high school you end up living to have fun in college and it's immensely depressing when that isn't fulfilled.

I thought that was pertinent to your situation.

If you need more down time, drop a few things. You can pick them up again when you feel you can deal with it.
And read some Dave Barry, preferably out loud. It helps, for some odd reason.
