Cockpunch

In my last post, astute readers will have taken note of my use of the term “cockpunchingly”, and taken a moment to marvel at the nearly crystaline clarity of the term and its implications. I love finding and creating new exclamations for use. Cockpunching(ly) doesn't suit my typical vernacular, however my exclamations of choice of late include two excellent phrases which I hope to pass on to you, because you strike me as the kind of gentleman that would enjoy these somewhat.

My two favoured phrases are Sweet fancy Moses! and Great Caesar's ghost!

It was always my impression that the kickasee was fleeing at the point of receiving the kick, and therefore a previous flurry of face to face blows has been implied.

There is a comic of this name with an interesting premise, btw, it's basically what happens if some kid decides to become a superhero in the real world, no training no powers no plan beyond basic teenage harebrainedness. He of course ends up in hospital in issue one.

I was thinking about referencing that comic in this post but decided against it. Written by Mark Millar and drawn by John Romita Jr. It really is snazzy stuff, and apparently - for all that it's only up to issue 5 or 6 (I can't remember which), there's already a movie based upon it coming up. I would have to guess that the studio guys really liked working with Millar on "Wanted", and just immediately snatched up his next project, sight-unseen, or something.
