The Curse of the Rhino King - Chapter 10 (in astonishing Audio-Rama Format!)

This one has one odd little moment which I feel is worth commenting on. There's a minor and nameless character who appears around 3/4 of the way through the chapter, and I was working on this at the time that my friend Heather and her friend Jesse were briefly visiting. I asked Jesse if he'd do the voice of this character for me, and he agreed. ( Read more... )

YES! More Cleopatra action! I presume the extra work of which you speak is the background chattering present for the second half of the audio-track? It fits well and indeed adds to the mood without being in the way, so you should surely be appreciated for it.

I'm also well aware I've made comments in this vein before, but that sign? Someone needs to draw that sign. It'd be my desktop wallpaper in an instant.

You mean the Outer Oxfordfordshirewittington sign? I agree, that sign sounds awesome! ;)

I shall add it to the list of things to take a stab at when I get bored in class, though. The list that didn't exist before about 10 seconds ago.

Also, I think I love the rhino money gag. People in Ireland and Africa are going to recognize it, too, aren't they?

I think that this was a reference to "The Seasick Mare", which is a visual I rather want to see with my own two eyes myself.

This having been said, a "You are now entering Outer Oxfordfordshirewhittington" sign would also be great. I like to imagine it as having the coat of arms of the town, which I envision as a skelletal crow holding a bloody knife in one claw and a screaming baby in the other, with the town's motto, "Best watch your purse, guv'nor" rendered in Latin on a scroll underneath it.

And yeah, the rhino gag isn't going away any time soon.

I figured we were talking about the Seasick Mare. For your amusement, I have now sketched it and put it here: http://img10.imageshack.us/i/seasickmaresign1.jpg/
