Sighing, he figured he may as well introduce himself. He'd meet her sooner or later anyhow, and she seemed to know Bella, so it would be prudent to be on her good side.
Turning to face the newcomer, Edward strode in what he estimated to be the equivalent of a normal human pace toward her.
"Hello," he said when he had reached Luna's spot, letting the natural timbre of his voice flow through the single word. He hoped that it would have the desired effect; there was something about her that wasn't the same as most of the people he'd used this effect on.

She paused in her explanation, and glanced up at stranger, getting a better look at his face. Her mouth fell open in surprise. He was stunning! She frowned, intrigued by what she saw but confused by it, and continued to survey him for a moment, taking in his features, attempting to determine what it was about him that was so attractive...
"You are unnaturally beautiful," she said after a moment, meaning it more as a statement than as flattery.

"I suppose I am," he supplied, enjoying her use of the word 'unnaturally'. That was certainly a more than apt description of it. He might just use that later, should he have to explain himself.
"I'm Edward," he shrugged, wondering if he should mention Bella yet. He decided to hold off. Clearly, Luna was intuitive. He didn't want to give the game away unless he absolutely had to. No need to tell secrets yet, although he had reason to believe that the Volturi wouldn't be seeking him out here to crucify him for sins such as this.
