...Whoops.

Well, that looked interesting.

Edward, huh? Pleased to meet you.

[A pause]

Wait, people don't die? How are we supposed to win a war if no-one dies?

Likewise.

....yeah, you have to wonder. But I'm thinking that it only applies to whoever's been brought here from other worlds. Something to do with the same power that brought us here in the first place.

This stuff doesn't sit well with me. I expect people to stay down when I've blown a hole in their heads.

[A sigh] And I thought losing my armour was the worst thing to come out of this.

Same here. I'd...rather not get involved in a war at all. Bad enough it looked like things were heading in that direction again back home, and sure I expect I'll have to do my part since I'm with the military, but it's nothing I look forward to. -and then all this crap happens.

...what kind of armor?

Mix of MJOLNIR Mark IV and V Power-assisted Armour. Everyone like me has some. It's all we wear.

[He looks a bit more uncomfortable, there] To be honest, I still feel naked without it...

[Jorge might as well be speaking French for all that Edward understands of that. He can gather that it's probably some heavy-duty equipment at least.]

Not like that isn't nearly the case when we get here to begin with. Have you checked out what they have around here? Of course, I wouldn't know what level of technology you're used to. These things alone are completely new to me.

[He taps at the datapad.]

You can buy ten to the credit of stuff like this. They're not uncommon.

A SPARTAN's armour is who he is. It's basically the perfect accessory to what we are.

Wow, guess that puts it a little more in perspective.

...know the design and stuff off the top of your head?

Uh, yeah. I made some improvements myself, so I know the workings.

[It didn't even have to have all the nifty technology, but the shield may come in handy]

((OOC: Also, is Ed still a Sith?))

Hmm. Even better. It...could be possible to replicate it then, granted you find the things to construct it.

((OOC: He hasn't really formally picked sides yet, actually.))

Well, if it's like you say, I'd probably have a hard time finding steel or anything. Or enough to cover me.

And all the interior wiring would be a pain to do from scratch... Damn. Wish Kat was here.

((OOC: That's good, because they seem to be getting along. :3 Kinda don't want to use the line 'sorry about potentially killing you in the near future.' At least, not yet.))

But there'd probably be some other materials that could be substituted for it, right? Gotta make-do with what you have.

Wiring isn't my forte, but if I have a good idea of how it works and what it looks like, I can probably help you pull something together.

((OOC: A-aaaw. xD))

Well, it's not so much the wiring as the programming that goes with it. I'm sure I can live without the shield or the active Camo, but I wonder if there's a heads-up display I can cannibalise for it.

[You've got him thinking now, Ed.]

I'll have to find out what this universe has in terms of metals.

((OOC: This is a good thing. More drama if you choose to turn Ed to the dark side or not.))

No idea what all of that is, but there might be something around here.

I know at the very least some minerals exist here that I'm familiar with- and you gotta figure that if people are here, then that also adds a good chunk of the periodic table. Basic metals too, but I don't know how common they are. There's just as many weird materials here.

((OOC: And IC drama is so fun sometimes..!))

We won't be able to duplicate it exactly. Dr. Halsey put years into it, but I just want to have it back. I can do without it having all the fancy augments.
