[The transmission comes in a little broken up- but go figure when you're accessing from a high-speed vehicle that's weaving in and out of traffic and tunnels. Of course, one might not be able to catch that immediately, save that everything in the droid's backdrop is a blur of lights, colors and sound

[Ugh, Jawas. Such weren't the culprit this time, but it had been no less enjoyable an experience, and one that he could have certainly done without. Artoo wouldn't be surprised if it had been the same Rodians that had tried nabbing him during the riots. He gives an electronic sigh.]

Overall systems appear functional. I haven't done an extensive check yet since I was kind of in a hurry to get away from that area._

Restraining bolt? If the caller's in range... Well, I guess they'd have you again already, if it was.

I'm assuming that was what they had left to get and probably hadn't counted on my systems to reboot so quickly. That jolt wasn't nearly as bad as others I've had._

Think you need like a transponder or something, for if they come back...? If you recorded a good image we might be able to take it to security, but they look the other way with Outworlders, sometimes.

I'd have to see if that short affected anything just before it, but I wonder if it would do any good- especially since I'd probably just be seen as an ownerless droid, Outworlder or not._

Yeah... I don't think they manumit droids much in this time, and anyway there's ways around the blocked restraining bolt port. Restraint collars and all...

Maybe a transponder... Do you have antitheft systems? There's only so much they can do if someone's really determined and doesn't care, but if you can give them a message like, definitively that you belong to someone they don't want to mess with...

I'll have to think about it. [Luke's not terribly fluent in Binary, so he pretty much just got the tone. ]

[The obvious answer is Don't Wander Off, but honestly Luke wouldn't suggest that unless they were surrounded by Jawas.]
