With all my issues, I think Fringe is still the show I look forward the most every week. And that's A LOT ( ... )

You know? I really liked Fringe, but not for the reasons you might think. I liked that they were in Olivia's mind, and that they showed us all her weakness in plain sight. I loved that her stepfather is her constant shadow and the scariest figure she still has, I loved that there were Zepellins in her head. I loved that Nina was a plot device, and Zombie!Brandon followed the trio, because he's pretty soul-less. I loved the colors in her head (the red/blue/yellow pattern was everywhere), and apparently I was the only one who saw the blonde woman with a braid among the people on the street ( ... )

I did love, that they showed how determinant the role of her stepfather has been in making Olivia who she is, but as someone in my flist mentioned, this is the first time in the whole show when Olivia is not able to "save" herself. She always fights, always, and in this episode she didn't (at least in her mind). And even though they try to explain it with the "you are your own worst enemy thing", it does feel like a bit like a loss.

I have to say I was kind of distracted by how very Inception-like it was, with the habitants of the dream staring and then turning against the people that does not belong there.

And yeah, Peter looking into her eyes was weak and an easy way out. It would have been way better if he had opened that door and he would have recognize WeeOlivia on the table painting, nothing more. No looking into Fake!livia's eyes.Exactly. What truly gave me the emotional moment for me was the conversation at the end, with the "it's not as dangerous as crossing into another universe" line, so the part with the eyes was just ( ... )

Fringe is my absolute favourite thing, but I do have a problem with some things they've been doing recently. And I'm really, really trying to not be negative about it, but I'm just not feeling Olivia/Peter at all. I want to like them! But I think the line about ~looking into her eyes~ pushed me from indifference to dislike, ugh. Do better, show.

I still think Anna Torv's Bellivia was mind-blowingly hilarious and awesome.

Parks & Rec DID THINGS TO ME. I hate wedding episodes, but they really pulled it off. April hugging Leslie totally killed me.

There's such a fine line with what I believe and I don't with this pairing. Most of the time I like them just fine (although I'm pretty sure I'd like anything that made Olivia minimally happy), but then they insist on pushing the relationship forward in ways than make me cringe more than anything else (I'm not a fan of the "you belong with me" line, to me it seemed a bit out of the blue) and it's such a pity, specially when we know they can do better than that.

YES. BELLIVIA. ANNA TORV FOR ALL THE AWARDS, ETC.

Parks & Rec was amazing. I was so ready to hate the wedding, I kept expecting them to get dramatic and have Ann or Leslie interrupt it, but the didn't and it was perfect. April&Leslie and the scene with Ron&Leslie, those are the kind of details that make it SO GOOD. And of course, RON SWANSON PULLING HIS TOOTH ♥
