You know? I really liked Fringe, but not for the reasons you might think. I liked that they were in Olivia's mind, and that they showed us all her weakness in plain sight. I loved that her stepfather is her constant shadow and the scariest figure she still has, I loved that there were Zepellins in her head. I loved that Nina was a plot device, and Zombie!Brandon followed the trio, because he's pretty soul-less. I loved the colors in her head (the red/blue/yellow pattern was everywhere), and apparently I was the only one who saw the blonde woman with a braid among the people on the street.
And yeah, Peter looking into her eyes was weak and an easy way out. It would have been way better if he had opened that door and he would have recognize WeeOlivia on the table painting, nothing more. No looking into Fake!livia's eyes.
I understand why all the scenes with Nimoy were as cartoons, so it didn't bother me as much as I see others getting bother about (and yeah, the cartoons on Farscape were way cooler).
ASTRID. ASTRID. I keep shipping her with Peter. I cannot help myself!!! They way they look at each other, the way she cares for him!!! And it's not that I don't ship Peter/Olivia, it's just that... I go back to S1 and see them more like brother and sister and it's weird. It was too fast that relationship, imo. And I know they're end game, but whatever.
And I'm not spoiler free, so I know a few things about the end of this season, though it's only pictures I've seen, I have no info.
BROYLES ON ACID WAS HILARIOUS.
And about this season... the pacing after Entrada changed so much! It was really fast during the first episodes and then suddenly went to the emotional side and got a bit angsty. But you know, it0s been pretty damn awesome nonetheless.

Bossypants is so damn funny. Tina Fey is a great storyteller

I did love, that they showed how determinant the role of her stepfather has been in making Olivia who she is, but as someone in my flist mentioned, this is the first time in the whole show when Olivia is not able to "save" herself. She always fights, always, and in this episode she didn't (at least in her mind). And even though they try to explain it with the "you are your own worst enemy thing", it does feel like a bit like a loss.

I have to say I was kind of distracted by how very Inception-like it was, with the habitants of the dream staring and then turning against the people that does not belong there.

And yeah, Peter looking into her eyes was weak and an easy way out. It would have been way better if he had opened that door and he would have recognize WeeOlivia on the table painting, nothing more. No looking into Fake!livia's eyes.

Exactly. What truly gave me the emotional moment for me was the conversation at the end, with the "it's not as dangerous as crossing into another universe" line, so the part with the eyes was just bad, unnecessary fluff.

I understand why all the scenes with Nimoy were as cartoons, so it didn't bother me as much as I see others getting bother about

But is seems SO lazy. It's not as if they didn't know Nimoy wasn't coming back, he said so last year. It seems to me they copped out instead of looking for another way. It also has to do on how the cartoon format didn't really give much to the story other than having Nimoy there...

I so want Astrid to have a more important role. It's such a disservice to the character not to.

It was too fast that relationship, imo. And I know they're end game, but whatever.

That's the main problem I have with the ship, it's not that I don't like them, but I get this feeling they are just trying to rush it when it'd be much better if it was slowly built up... (first with the "you belong with me", and now with how they have fixed things). We will see.

BROYLES SHOULD BE DRUGGED IN MORE EPISODES. I'M JUST SAYING :D

Tina Fey is amazing. I didn't actually know what to expect from the book, but is such a good read.
