a spider walks across your desk and your immediate reaction is "Wow, that's a really pretty little salticid!"

(The salticids are the jumping spiders. This one was tiny, about 4mm long total. It had a very narrow abdomen with yellow and black markings. I picked it up and deposited it outside.)
