The 1940's set one was just adorable! You nailed the characterizations and voices for Bruce and Dick of that era too. Appropriately sweet and hokey, yet still the awesome characters we love.
I also loved the Dick/Roy Cops and Robbers au. You managed to convey their banter and sexual chemistry in a very short piece. I was surprised, at first, to see Dick as the thief and Roy as the cop, but you made it fit really well with their characters.
When I was writing the Bruce, Dick and Alfred one I remembered all the old Batman cartoons, all the really corny comics and the really corny super big props. It was so much fun writing.
You know I guess most people would think of Dick as the cop, that didn't even dawn on me. *facepalm* But he fits so well in the thief's role.
Actually writing Roy and Dick is kind of hard for me, so I'm glad I've got their chemistry down okay.
Ooh, Captain Steven almost gave it all away! ;) But how could he not be enamored of Diana? And Hippolyta SO knows! ;)
The '40s story was just right! Dick all bouncy and happy and persuasive and Bruce allowing Dick and Alfred to persuade him to have fun. ;) I noticed the giant blender theme, which is perfect! :)
Yay for Dick as the thief! Sure, he's been a cop but a sinuous sneak thief in the night seems to fit him. I loved Roy's smile at the end. :)
Sorry for the late reply hon, but I'm so glad you enjoyed all of these. And oh yes, Hippolyta so totally knows, deep down she likes him, but she's not going to make it easy on him. :)
I figured you would like the giant blender. I always had a fondness for all of the giant props.
