Steve/Diana Ancient Greece
Captain Steven watched the Amazons go through their drills. Never in all his years had he seen any other army move with such single minded intent. It was a joy to watch them move as one. No wonder the King of Athens was so keen to make allies with them.
His eyes slid down the line to the last Amazon, letting his eyes linger before scolding himself for doing so. Princess Diana was without question the finest of all the Amazon warriors. She was also the Queen's only child and interest in her would not make him any friend to the Queen.
But he couldn't help himself, the few times he had had a chance to speak with her she had been witty and charming and Steven had not wanted to end their conversation. Steven had realized he was becoming enamored with the Princess and, perhaps he was arrogant, but he had gotten the impression she looked upon him favorable as well.
“And how do you like my Amazons?” Queen Hippolyte asked as she walked over to Stevens side.
“She's wonderful,” Steven said still caught up in his thoughts.
“She?” the Queen asked with a raised eyebrow.
“I . . .I meant they your Highness,” Steven stammered. “They are the finest army I've ever seen.”
“I see,” Hippolyte said neutrally but Steven had a feeling she knew exactly what(who) he was talking about.
Bruce+Dick+Alfred 1940's Gotham
“Bruce! The expo is starting today!” Dick cheered as he barged into Bruce's study. “They're suppose to have the world's biggest blender and it's suppose to make real smoothies! We're going right? I mean Wayne Foundation is one of the sponsors so we have to go.”
Bemused, Bruce looked up from his paperwork, “I'm not sure chum. I got hit hard with a lot of paper work and we've got to overhaul the Batcomputer too.”
“Aww Bruce,” Dick pouted, “But it will be fun!”
“Perhaps a couple of hours of frivolity wouldn't hurt Master Bruce,” Alfred offered as he brought in a cup of coffee. “Growing boys need to get out and have some fun . . . both of you.”
Bruce raised an eyebrow at Alfred, but didn't argue - it really wouldn't do any good. Instead he sipped his coffee and then turned to Dick, “Worlds' biggest blender huh?”
“It's going to be the coolest thing ever,” Dick beamed, bouncing on his toes as he could sense Bruce giving in.
“Then it's off to the expo I suppose.”
Dick/Roy Cops and Robbers
“Freeze!”
Dick paused half way out the window and looked over his shoulder, “Why Officer Harper, how nice it is to see you again. We just keep running into each other.”
“That tends to happen when you break into apartments,” said Roy as he kept his gun trained on the thief that he had been tracking down for a month.
“Hm maybe we should find another location to meet up at,” Dick smirked.
“You'd have to stop stealing.”
“True and I do love it when you chase me,” Dick said a moment before kicking the gun out of Roy's hand.
Roy swore as he lunged out the window, just to watch Dick disappear over the roof. “Next time Grayson,” Roy muttered under his breath not even bothering to hide the grin that that that thought brought.
