Honestly kinda debated posting anything, but after coming back to LJ to see what remained I found your journal again, read the old entries up to the latest and...holy shit. What a ride!
Wherever you are now I hope you're still doing well. For all it's worth I'm glad to see you still kickin' and that your journey took a greater turn for the better.
Well gosh. It has been quiet a long time hasn't it lady? More then 20 years.
I don't know what made me randomly decide to stumble here and post a 'oh by the way the person who wrote this vanished a long time ago' post. I went to college, I dropped out, got abused, got a kid, went back, finished transition, went back the opposite direction to become a full time caregiver for my mother, became a hollow, empty, shell, watched as she passed..went back.
Its weird for me to look at this because this IS me. But its a me so distant and disconnected from who I am I wonder how much of it was me..and how much of it was me trying to pretend to be the person I thought I was supposed to be.
I'm glad to know you're still out there Miss Karathanos. Or Mrs whatever you may be now. You had a beautiful soul and I hope you found that perfect place for yourself:)...
for record? MY son is about to become 18. I think the last time we spoke was around 18. So how crazy is that?
A lot can happen in two years, as this crazy world can attest. I'm sorry about your mom, and all the other travails you had to endure.
And now you're a parent as well! That IS wild, haha! I have yet to go down the path of parenthood, and I doubt I ever will (which is fine by me lol), but I imagine that makes time feel a whole lot faster in some ways huh? He must be almost done with high school now yeah? Any plans beyond that yet? :)
BTW I have Discord, if you have it as well and we can catch up more there if you'd like. The door is open, if you want it.
He's a senior when the next year happens, and 18. his birthday is actually 7 days before mine, right when the year starts. He wants to be an etymologist. I am UNSURE the career future of entomology has in store for him, but, its my job to try to help him get his dreams, not plan out his money patter ns for after im dead.
