Yup. 5 days, about 2900 miles. I've added another 120 miles or so just puttering around since I got here, so I'm well over 3K miles since leaving San Diego.
...and this is just part 1 of 3 for my journey.
Part 2 will resume after I am done with this work in DC. 7/2-7/5 will be spent driving up to Niagara Falls, across Ontario, through Detroit and toledo, down through Kentucky (stayingin Lexington the night of July 4), and arriving in Knoxville, TN on July 5.
Then I will attend WingDing33 in Knoxville July 5-9, and start Part 3 of my trek on July 10 heading home.
(Closing ceremonies at the WingDing33 convention on July 9 is my birthday... I'm buying LOTS of raffle tickets to increase my chances of getting a good B-Day gift!)
The only goal of Part 3 is to arrive home on July 14... The route hasn't been determined, and I will probably base it on the weather and on how tired I am at that point.
BTW, this is not the White House. It's the US Treasury building.
It's one block east and a little south of the White House, but it was as close as I could get BabyDragon to the real thing. Only authorized vehicles can go over to the next block, adjacent to the White House.
