the health care system in this country is broken from top to bottom.

the problem is not 'greedy doctors' or 'frivolous lawsuits' the problem is hte insurance companies.

Period, end of story. So without changing the insurance companies and just making people choose one devil or another, with punitive measures if they can't afford even the cheapest spawn of satan....nothing is getting fixed.

The Obama-Kennedy plan is modeled after Mitt Romney's Massachusetts health care reform. The Massachusetts health care plan is widely lauded by lawmakers of all political stripes as a masterpiece; on the other hand, lawmakers seem to be the only people who think it doesn't suck in practice.

It's the same Republican plan that was part of Hillary's platform when she was running. But, hell, you know a Republican policy has problems when even Phyllis Schlafly doesn't like it.
