I totally understand where you're coming from on all those issues running through your brain (and running out from your fingertips). Job wise, we're in the same boat. Try Burlington or TO. Seriously...that's been my resort.
As for babies, I am just about ready to have a hysterectomy now. I really want the periods to stop and frankly, despite being able to have children is a gift, I really don't believe I'm cut out for motherhood. Regardless, it's okay to not be 100% commited to the idea even if your partner is.
I think Dave is a good balance for you. I hope that whatever happens in the future, you two stick together :)
You are YOUNG!!! Just travel and travel and when you're ready to have kids, you'll have them. Obviously you have wanderlust. It'd be a giant mistake to have kids so young before you've seen more of the world. Trust me, I know!! I have been traveling a fair deal over the past 10 years and wouldn't trade that for anything.
I agree with razorart. You have lots of time for kids. See the world! With me! HA! No seriously. I want to travel a LOT. And, if you're serious about wanting to live in Europe, Bergen isn't a bad place to be ;) Plus the norwegian kroner goes a long way when you travel elsewhere... Just so you know! I think that if you have such a desire to really live life outside the N.A bubble, you should probably wait on kids. I know I want to have one kid. But I still have so much I want to do and see and I'm not ready to give that much of myself away yet. But I totally agree with and go through the same stuff you are going through.
you are too young to have a child, in my opinion. matt and i will be 30 this year, and we're just getting ready to start trying IN A YEAR OR MORE. enjoy your life now (money troubles and everything) because it'll all seem so silly and care free when you have kids.
