Songs of another tongue?

In consequence from my current re-immersion in anime I seem to have finally caught the anime OST bug; where one doesn't just regard the opening and ending themes as opening and ending themes {and sometimes extending as far as the background musics}, but songs/tunes of their own worth to be listened to on their own.

Anyway it got me thinking about

Often I prefer not to know the lyrics to a piece of music because it lets me give my own meaning to it. However, it's not a universal thing. Some songs I like because of the picture the lyrics paint.

I have some songs in elvish, and I will never look up the lyrics and find out what they mean for precisely this reason. :)

With opera it's Italian for preference (but I do speak a little of that) while with folk it's the Celtic languages: Gallic, Gaelic Breton and Welsh (I have Breton ancestry). Yiddish can be fun too especially with klezmer music (okay, so I also have Latvian Jewish ancestry :o)
