Tonight I managed to make it to a gig. One hell of a gig. Actually gig doesn't cover it ...neither does concert really....

Anyway, it was the dutch symphonic metal powerhouse that is Within Temptation, finally back on these shores after a 3 year gap.

Right now I'm fairly hypomanic. But this isn't without reason.

Today has been a very brilliant day. I've had Within Temptation's rocking new album 'The Unforgiving' to listen to, I got up early, epilated off the remaining half of leg hair, went outside, got some things done in town, and that was all before 4:30pm!

Well it took a while but here's the best shots I got of the gig using Aika. I hadn't planned to use her so it was rather spontaneous, and while I'm now accustomed to the iPhone4 having a very good camera for a phone's camera I was pleasantly surprised with how well they came out considering it's a phone camera vs the camera unfriendly environment ( Read more... )

In consequence from my current re-immersion in anime I seem to have finally caught the anime OST bug; where one doesn't just regard the opening and ending themes as opening and ending themes {and sometimes extending as far as the background musics}, but songs/tunes of their own worth to be listened to on their own.

It seems these days to be quite hard to passively find out about band's tours. Barely any of them use mailing lists these days, ents24 is sadly still patchy, LastFM doesn't have any auto-notification feature that I can find (am I missing something?), and I hear from the infected that FaceWhore and MySpasm are both failing at their raison d'être and ( Read more... )
