That looks freaking sweet! Have you seen the blood "recipe" on the Slither DVD extras? That turns out well, too. Did you use any chocolate sauce? The dude on there swears by it.
But dude, great job! Really good color, esp. dry. :)
Looks awesome, but...soap? As a thickener? I've heard of corn starch or flour for that, not soap. Obviously works, just find it curious. How does it look fresh? How does it look under the intensity of set lights or on whatever medium they're using (SD, HD, film)?
Yeah. I was watching a video on how to make blood and one FX artist said to use just soap and red dye. But I used the soap with a mixture of other stuff. In all honesty, I figured the soap would be good for easier cleanup since the dye stains easily.
There weren't any professional lights on set. They just used the ones that were already in the building. The film is a documentary style film so it's going to look slightly grainy.
That looks AWESOME. I would love to get the recipe. I have been looking for a good one to use for some of my photoshoots. A lot of the photogs have some crappy stuff or stuff that contains materials that I am allergic to. This way I could bring my own!
