So, I read up on a bunch of different ways to make blood (since I ran around looking for store bought blood and came up empty handed due to it being out of season, and I didn't want to pay the huge S&H fee) and came up with my own recipe. After having the blood dry pink the first go, I screwed up and made the blood too purple. So several red colorings later (and money) I fixed it. The picture I posted is the result of the dried blood on my skin and DAMN it looks nice.
I wrote down everything (oz, cups, etc) I did before I made the mix purple, so I know I'm going to have to recalculate the coloring (and subtract the amount of soap I put into the mix) but hopefully the next round won't be so hard (and costly). All in all, it wasn't too expensive to make half a gallon before I screwed up the color. Haha!
I might share the recipe (if people think it looks good enough), but really, it's all just a combination of several store bought products that various internet sources.
