What exacty do you mean by "canon divergent AU"?
In this case, we mean a character (or more) was faced with a choice or a possiblity in canon. However, instead of the one they chose in canon, you choose to write for what might have happened along the darker path. EX, "what if John Winchester had never sold his sold for Dean's life?" "What if Buffy had moved away from Sunnydale; what fates would that have left her friends for?" "What if Frodo had kept the One Ring?"
What do you mean by "new" fic? What if I only have one chapter of a fic posted that would fit this perfectly?
Sorry. We want to see what you can come up with this, fresh. Must be unposted, brand-spanking new for this comm.
Can I sign-up for more than one level (Big, Little, Mini) of Bang?
If you think you can handle it, why not? The more fic the better.
Can I combine this with another challenge?
If it's okay with that other comm/challenge, then it's fine with us!
Can more than one author work on one story?
Sure, as long as you can get done by the deadline.

Why no art requirements for the mini bang?
Because we wanted to add one low-committment option to this comm, for those who wanted to give it a shot but wouldn't feel pressured to finish.
You know that schedule runs through NaNoWriMo, right?
Yes, if you participate in National Novel Writing Month (nanowrimo.org), then this might seem daunting. Both of your mods are participating in Nano, and we're confident. It's part of the challenge!
Where can we post?
Anywhere you like, so long as it is done ONLY within the January 1st-January 7th time period. We'll have an AO3 collection up for you to post to a little closer to time.
What if I need an extension?
We'll look at this on a case-by-case need. But it's fandom and meant to be fun, so we'll try to work something out in most cases.
