43. Pitching A Tent (Reeve - 21/100) darknessmatinee June 15 2010, 19:18:14 UTC
“You sure you’re not conditioned to sleeping indoors, Mister Head of Urban Development?” The dark-haired woman asked in a teasing tone. Reeve, sitting on a nearby rock, tilted his head.
“No more than one of the Turks would be.” He returned with a discerning look. The woman smirked, lifting a canvas bag.
“Good. You can pitch the tent, then.” She said, sending the pack gliding towards Reeve’s feet. As it landed, he sighed, not entirely surprised. Opening the bag, he glanced over at the woman, who was walking away.
“Where are you going?” he asked before returning to the tent.

22. Storm (Connie - 22/100) darknessmatinee June 16 2010, 02:53:04 UTC
It had been overcast all day, but no one expected the boomer that came around that afternoon. Sarah was sitting in the visitor center with Alyssa, Wendy, and a few park-goers taking shelter from the storm. The big ones didn’t usually last long, so people had little problem waiting them out. Sarah would talk to them, but they would mostly talk amongst themselves while the girls would group together.
“Any plans for the weekend?” Wendy asked the other girls. Sarah shook her head. Wendy tilted her head, puzzled.
“None of us will if this weather keeps up.” Alyssa remarked flatly.

“Not so fast!” Sarah Jane called, stopping mere feet from the creatures and their strange device. Both of the bulbous green things laughed shrilly.
“You’re too late, Miss Smith! Once the process starts, it cannot be reversed!” The larger one said joyously. Sarah Jane, furious with the creatures and overall fed-up with the Slitheen family, cocked her head to the side.
“Oh, can it?” She asked in a defiant tone, withdrawing her sonic lipstick and aiming it at the device. The sonic blast caused an array of sparks and flashes to erupt from the machine. Hopefully, that had broken it.

He could see why Shalua was so interested in these ‘garment grids’ the newcomers had brought. They were an interesting piece of work. Using spheres of recorded memory to create clothes, weapons, and even abilities was quite mind-boggling, but Reeve was more interested in the fact that each person using the device wound up with a different outfit and weapon. Did it pull from the personality of the user, or their thoughts on the appearance? He had thought to try them out, but that had to wait. Shalua wasn’t going to let the device out of her sight anytime soon.

4. Bug (Connie - 25/100) **25%** darknessmatinee June 18 2010, 22:23:37 UTC
Most people, when asked, will not refer to butterflies as ‘bugs’. That’s what they are, though, right? Bug is just another word for insect, but its usage has negative connotations. Like, people call roaches bugs, but butterflies are insects. Roaches nest in people’s homes. Butterflies don’t. They don’t bite or claw, for lack of necessary parts. They don’t attack other creatures, they defend. They don’t even destroy the flowers they eat from. They’re non-toxic unless eaten, they appear in so many colors, and they’re very fragile. Beautiful, fragile creatures fluttering in the air. Why do they make me so uneasy?
