A Sonnet I'm a'Pimping

Hi all! Yes, the prompt at lj_scribe reeled me in again this week.

Normally, they go for a bit of anything, but they were more specific this week, and asked for a Shakespearian inspired sonnet in iambic pentameter.

Such a beautiful sonnet. It is immediately obvious how well you know this verse form as it is very unforced and natural. Your unselfish passion for your son comes through so beautifully - exactly how poetry should be inspired. The last rhyming couplet in particular is just beautiful. It deserves to do brilliantly on the scribe, if not beyond. I will go and +1 immediately.

As a parent I can see so many feelings I have for my kids.
I hope you'll be brave enough to show it to him.
