Just ...

You are a genius. An absolute genius. This is brilliant. I have not laughed out loud so much for a long, long time.

You need to do something with this, although of course, the subject matter is a little ... rarefied!

I'll stick this one in for good measure - same tune ... good ol' Tom Lehrer ... good ol' Dan Rad.

PS - thank you for the epic pimp - if that doesn't work, nothing will!!

PMSL! That's bloody brilliant! I'm going to learn that, and sing it to my son, till he gets them all! Better yet - I'll make him sing it with me!

I hope the pimp gets them voting - and gives everyone a laugh.

I had a lot of fun making it up - I kept giggling all the way through!

Hello new friend. I see we have friends in common in addition to HP fandom. With friendship I open my cosplay world. I am the mod of grangersnape100, a drabble community. I am also on deviant art.

That's one of my favorite parts of the musical, the whole orphan/often confusion convo.

I've known of G & S for eons, but I've never seen a single performance of their works. Sad for someone who minored in Music in college. I couldn't understand most of the lyrics - only grabbed on to hypotenuse and quadratic. i guess if I ever go to see a G & S, I'd better read the libretto first.

And I did vote last week, so all was not lost. 8-)

I've just edited, and added a "sing along" version of the same performance with lyrics. I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy them.

And laurie's included a link in her comment with Dan R. doing a version with the periodic table of elements. I know you'll like that one, too.

Thought I'd add the link for Tom Lehrer doing it:

Light opera was a little different then, LOL. I do enjoy many of the musicals that are the more common form of musical storytelling now.

Thank you for adding a piece with the words. That is so much more understandable. Now I have to go scrub my brain, trying to erase 'vegetable and animal and mineral'.

The periodic table song I've heard before - of course as a retired chemistry librarian, I like it immensely (even though the listed elements are wildly out of order, LOL).

I was so keen to get onto the lyrics when I first saw this post that I skimmed your introduction. Having now read it properly I have the image of Lucius and Severus jigging up and down in the chorus ... bloody hell ... now there's something you don't see every day. Well ... ever, actually. But then, you wouldn't actually see Lucius or Severus ever in any form, would you? Seeing as they're not real.

Hm.

I'm over-tired and emotional. I spout rubbish at times like this.
