You are a genius. An absolute genius. This is brilliant. I have not laughed out loud so much for a long, long time.
You need to do something with this, although of course, the subject matter is a little ... rarefied!
I'll stick this one in for good measure - same tune ... good ol' Tom Lehrer ... good ol' Dan Rad.

I hope the pimp gets them voting - and gives everyone a laugh.
I had a lot of fun making it up - I kept giggling all the way through!

I've known of G & S for eons, but I've never seen a single performance of their works. Sad for someone who minored in Music in college. I couldn't understand most of the lyrics - only grabbed on to hypotenuse and quadratic. i guess if I ever go to see a G & S, I'd better read the libretto first.
And I did vote last week, so all was not lost. 8-)

And laurie's included a link in her comment with Dan R. doing a version with the periodic table of elements. I know you'll like that one, too.
Thought I'd add the link for Tom Lehrer doing it:

Light opera was a little different then, LOL. I do enjoy many of the musicals that are the more common form of musical storytelling now.
Thank you for adding a piece with the words. That is so much more understandable. Now I have to go scrub my brain, trying to erase 'vegetable and animal and mineral'.
The periodic table song I've heard before - of course as a retired chemistry librarian, I like it immensely (even though the listed elements are wildly out of order, LOL).

Hm.
I'm over-tired and emotional. I spout rubbish at times like this.
