How good is that whole sequence? OMG when he put his name on the Clan roster and walked out with them and then confronted Gao Lao? I was totally acting like a maniac at that point because he knows exactly what he signed up for and does it anyway, and actually even when he has an out (GL tells him he can go) he doesn't take it but shows his name. OMGOMGOMG.

Whipping was creepy creepy as hell I rewatched it.

OMG I WAS FLIPPING OUT. It was exactly the kind of payoff I wanted -- I actually got chills during the staredown with the flashbacks and the glaring and you saw how much they changed but how neither was going to budge. YES YES YES MORE PLEASE.

And I love how Xiao Chuan went from whipping to bloodied prisoner to standing in the rain. All my kinks rolled into twenty minutes!
