Once Ianto reached Tony he stood next to him, hands in his trouser pockets as he leaned his shoulders against the wall. He observed how edgy the man was and how he kept a constant look out.
"I saw what happened, the Network decided to broadcast it." From what Ianto had seen, the streets had looked nothing like the ones he knew in the City. "I don't think he can get you now."

Considering the danger seemed to be back in Tony's world, Ianto didn't think there was any danger. That, and he was armed, but he didn't think mentioning either subject would do anything for Tony's piece of mind.
It wasn't a long journey back to the beach house, and as far as Ianto knew, Tony hadn't been there yet.
The beach house was of course, designed to keep intruders out and prisoners in, and was truly one of the safest places Ianto knew.
"Have you eaten yet?" he asked his friend, remembering a ravenous appetite that he wasn't sure would still be there as Tony didn't use magic yet.

Tony stuck close to Ianto throughout the walk to the beach house, frequently checking behind them, watching their backs.
"Yeah, I ate breakfast..."
Tony frowned as once again memories seemed to overlap. He remembered the two coffees and the muffin he'd bought from Druxy's as he'd wandered early that morning trying to figure out why he felt so disturbed. And he also remembered pouring cereal into a bowl and flipping through the network while he ate and Henry slept in the room sectioned off with duct tape along the crack in the door.

Soon enough they were there though, and Ianto typed in a key code then used a key to unlock a side door, rather than the front one. He let Tony in, and then locked it again behind the both of them.
"If you're still hungry, then there's plenty to eat. If not, then I'm sure we can find something to do."
He turned to lead Tony deeper into the house, hoping the man would feel safer that way.

"Hm? Oh, I'm not sure where Jack is, but I saw him this morning. He might be with Kyle." He pulled his phone out from his pocket and held it up. "Should I phone him?" Ianto would leave a rather confusing message he knew, but he could explain it to Jack later.
He indicated the couch for Tony though. "Make yourself comfortable. Do you want a drink or something?"

Tony nodded at the phone idea and huddled on the couch, still looking as if he expected a crazed Egyptian priest to come storming through the front door demanding his life at any moment.
"Unless you got a shot of brandy somewhere I probably shouldn't have anything," he said.

There were some blankets folded over the back of the couch and Ianto pulled at one to show Tony that they were there as he dialled Jack's number.
He was relieved when it switched to answerphone, he wouldn't have to explain anything in front of Tony.
"Jack?" he said, "I have Tony in the house with me. He saw something earlier, some kind of creature that saps life. Be careful, you and Kyle both, all right?" He made sure that the tone of his voice would let Jack know it wasn't anything serious, while at the same time putting on a little show in front of Tony.
He ended the call and then turned to his guest. "We do have brandy, if you're serious."

"This is pretty out in the open, though. Why didn't you go back to your place where it's safe and inside?" It had all the wards and spells that Tony-
No wait, they probably weren't there any more.
"Or my place, which is even safer."

Why was he remembering an apartment that was all his own?
"I have to be back at sunset."

He was very glad he wasn't cursed himself.
"Sunset? I'll walk you back if you like to where you have to go at sunset. But for now, my house is safe."

His house might be out of the open, but Tony wouldn't consider any place truly safe until Henry was awake.

"Obviously Jack's more of a bad influence on me than I thought. I'll have to tell him off later."

"Where is Jack? You need to warn him about the...monster," Tony finished lamely. He couldn't think of anything else to call it.
