[Hey, look who's here, Crow. Yeah, the guy who's been having a constant panic attack ever since...yeah. He was coming by your room to check up on you until woah hello, escaping Crow Hogan. At first Byrne's just surprised, and then he calls after you:]

Crow? Hey--Crow!

[...in the tone of UIJENFK WHAT ARE YOU DOING RUNNING IN YOUR CONDITION MISTER >:[ ]

[welp, he needs to start being more cautious, or else Byrne's gonna have a heart attack or something -- and he sure wouldn't want that. Hearing his voice, Crow stops at once and turns around.]

Oh hey, Byrne! How's it going?

[...pooossibly ignoring the fact the Yatagarasu-daddy sounds like a certain irritated nurse.]

[Byrne's walking over now; also, cue worried parent face. Hey, you think this reaction (or even the Rattata incident) is anything compared to how Byrne was when he found you guys injured to begin with?? There's a reason he's been glued to the PokeCenter for the past few days!

...and not to mention he's been feeling horribly guilty for letting this happen, but that's not the issue here.]

How're you feeling? [Getting that out of the way before he lays down the typical worried parent lectures.]

[just don't tell Crow, or he'll... feel guilty for making you worry or something.

Regardless, Crow grins at the question.]

Me? Never better! [...And he proceeds to swing his arm to prove his point.]

[... having no idea what happened to Crow a few days ago since he wasn't in Goldenrod at the time, Kaito's kinda... gaping at the camera]

... the hell happened to you?

[clearly, Crow does not consider his current condition to be a major issue.]

Hm? What, this? 'S no big deal! We've just had a bad run-in with the jerk who caused all that bug crap.

And I wasn't there to help?

If you ask me, you've had enough trouble to deal with in Violet. [like, say, a pinecone blowing up in your face.]

I uh-- think you should do what she says and rest.

Hey, Jack! How was the last weekend for you? [at least if this guy died in the bug incident, he would probably be... happy...]

I'm perfectly fine! 'Sides, I can rest outside the Center.

After asking around--I missed the whole bug thing. I've been in a cave for a month.

How the heck did you not die of starvation?

What's all this crap I keep hearing about bugs? Aren't there any pesticides around here?

[video] darkenedgales April 14 2011, 16:32:20 UTC
New here, huh? A few days ago a bunch of bug Pokemon went completely nuts, attacking everything that was moving. Don't think pesticides would've been of much help. [and using those on Pokemon would be unethical, right?]

There are 'bug Pokemon?' How many of them are there to cause such a big problem?

[Ed has yet to see a bug Pokemon. He's thinking about normal-sized bugs you find in your backyard...]

Yeah! And trust me, loads of exploding pinecones and huge dragonflies can cause trouble.

Eh, I managed somehow. Got to Cherrygrove before the worst of it.

And now it's your turn. What happened to you?

So it's been like this even there? Damn...

Me? I just bumped into the guy who set this whole bug business up.

You...

Tch, that guy. He was gloating about this whole thing too.
