Oh yes, the book was absolutely fantastic, in my opinion the best after PoA.
I think I'll have to reread HBP more slowly before I speculate more about Snape; as I was reading pretty quickly, I might have missed some little details.
Draco might not turn to the side of the light, but there still is the possibility of remaining neutral instead of fighting at the Dark Lord's side.
As far as Harry/Ginny is concerned, I hope that they won't have the chance to get back together in the final book. I had hoped that after OotP, Ginny wouldn't be interested in Harry anymore but I was obviously wrong...
much as i wish snape was evil, as i really don't get the snape love (sorry!), i think this is probably the setting up for the final twist of dumbledore already being about to die and him persuading snape to kill him to egg harry on. with the r.a.b. thing that's what i figured but i guess it could be not, what i don't get though is whether he had to drink all the stuff in which case how the hell did he get out? and how did the spell work so you had to drink it? couldn't you just scoop it out with a mug and pour it away. and i'm really hoping that harry isn't the final horcrux much as i'm in favour of the "harry dies" plot ending. it would just be too annoying. erm. witter witter witter. I''t not my fault. i've had almost a week with no one to talk to about this! lalala. capitalisation is evil. x
